Workshops

Marei Seuthe ist Dozentin für Cello, Orchester, Improvisation und Theater an der Rheinischen Musikschule der Stadt Köln. Zusätzlich bietet sie Workshops in den Bereichen „Improvisation“, „Performance“, „Vorbereitung auf die Konzertsituation“ und „Theater“ an.

Marei Seuthe war zweimal Gastdozentin beim „New Directions Cello Festival“ in Ithaca, New York und gab dort Workshops mit den Themen

  • „Musical scenes for cello ensemble – from free improvisation towards improvised compositions“
  • „It’s not only the strings that sound – discovering new possibilities of playing the cello“
  • „Ping Pong with singing saws“ (alle zusammen mit Krischa Weber, Hamburg)
  • „Conducting signals – play what the conductor is doing“

 

Zusammen mit Sera Smolen (USA) und Gunther Tiedemann (Köln) gab sie im Rahmen der Rheinischen Musikschule mehrere Workshops zur Streicherimprovisation („Improvising String Quartet“ und „Dances from around the world“)

 

Für den Musikzweig des Stadtgymnasiums Porz entwickelte sie den Musiktheaterworkshop „Fluxus“.

 

Außerdem gab sie Workshops in Stimmimprovisation in einem Projekt der Rheinischen Musikschule und der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln zur Gender-Forschung.
